Get me so inspired to use my watercolorpencils after a very long time. You colors look so cozy. I love this last coloringbook from JB. I already finished 6 pages. From the castle I make a snowglobe. And the 3 pages with the candyhouses/themes I my a festive Christmas vibes. ❤
Aww, thank you so much! 💖 Ooh, it’s so fun to hear how creative you’ve been with JB’s new book! You’ve done so much already, wow! Your snow globe castle and festive candy house ideas sound absolutely magical. I adore Christmas vibes too! ❤️ Can’t wait to see how they turn out!
This was fabulous. Thank you for sharing all the unusual colour combinations and your reasoning. I love your results, and aim to you a few combinations. Thank you. X
Beautiful colouring. I didn't know you could use both prismacolor and polychromos pencils together. It looks like they blend well. Can you please tell me if they blend easily together?
Thank you so much! ✨🩵🥰 Yes, yes you can defintely use prismacolors & polychromos together! I like using prismacolors for blending and polychromos to built up my layers 💖
My favorite pencil set is my full set of polys, combined with 50 light/pastel prismas and a selection of prismas for metal, as I prefer they way the blend for metal. I use them a bit differently, I put down a base of color typically with something like marker or watercolor pencil because it's faster and easier on my hands, and it doesn't fill the tooth of the paper.. you can just put down base color with pencil if you are light handed ...then shade with the polys and add highlights with the prisma. The polys are transparent so they give lovely dimension while letting the base colors come through, the prisma are opaque so they sit on top of everything and will show up even over dark colors. They make a great team, gives you the best of both worlds since their properties are opposite to each other. Also prisma has pastel shades polys don't.
Great question! 😊 I like to use different brands of pencils because each has its unique qualities: some are better for blending, others for fine details, and some offer colors that really pop. It allows me to combine the strengths of various pencils to achieve the look I want. Plus, it’s fun to experiment and see how they work together! 💕

Beautiful colouring Raquel 👏👏😍😍
I'm amazed how many different brands of pencils you are using in one drawing.... why switch brands so much?
